High-Power Laser R&D Engineer (M/F)

The position

Working on the High-Power Laser project team under the Technical Director, you will be participating in the R&D of integrating systems to laser assisted manufacturing tools (cutting, welding, 3D printing, other robot-assisted processes, etc.). Your main tasks will include:

  • Contributing to the development of specifications for new products
  • Designing new innovative optical solutions
  • Developing and integrating new systems, performing low and high-power tests
  • Participating in the improvement of the various demonstrators up to the point of industrialization

 

Profile

Key points:
  • Master’s degree in Engineering with a specialization in optics-photonics
  • Extensive experience in the development of continuous high-power laser systems (>100W)
  • Broad understanding of optomechanical and thermal design
  • Fluent in English

 

Desirable skills:
  • Taste for experimental work
  • Experience in integrating optical systems – precision optoelectronics
  • Knowledgeable about an optomechanical calculation tool (Zemax, Code V)
  • Familiar with automation and industrial sensor modules (via bus type etherCAT)
