Numerical modeling for beam shaping (M/F)

The internship

Numerical light propagation tools are a key building block for the entire Cailabs product line. You will work as part of the R&D team, reporting to a project manager. In this project at the intersection of optics, applied mathematics and programming, you will be responsible for carrying out the following tasks:

  • Investigating and assessing recent articles in scientific journals
  • Developing, implementing and testing numerical methods
  • Improving the performance of existing digital tools


Key points:
  • Analytical and synthetic thinking
  • Programming skills (Python, Matlab, …)
  • Background in physics or applied mathematics


Desirable skills:
  • Working level of scientific English
  • Attentive to details, Detail-oriented, motivated and autonomous
  • Taste for analytical derivations
