The internship

You will work as part of the technical team under an R&D project manager. The internship project aims to improve the numerical tools essential to MPLC’s light shaping technology. The internship focuses on the numerical optimization of these tools, which will be used by the entire R&D team.


Your objective will be to improve the quality of existing numerical optimization tools within the company by exploring multiple variants of numerical convergence. You will also be responsible for working on the accuracy and speed of convergence.



Key points:
  • Background in applied mathematics
  • Working knowledge of optimization algorithms
  • Programming skills


Desirable skills:
  • Working knowledge of Python
  • Working knowledge of optics
  • Detail-oriented, motivated, and autonomous
