Optical Satellite Communications (M/F)

The internship

We are seeking interns to assist in the development of products for Earth-satellite and inter-satellite communications. You will work alongside the project managers to help develop new technologies for improving free-space communication. You will actively participate as a senior experimenter in the demonstration and characterization of new approaches developed throughout the course of this internship:


You will help pilot new developments by:

  • Designing new components
  • Conducting numerical simulations of performances
  • Improving optical performance
  • Creating characterization tools
  • Characterizing the different developed designs


Key points:
  • Experience with optical alignment in free space and geometric optics
  • Critical thinker
  • Experience with numerical simulation (for example Matlab, Python, C…)
  • Analytic and synthetic skills


Desirable skills:
  • Working knowledge of Python
  • Detail-oriented, motivated and autonomous
