Bas\u00e9e sur la technologie MPLC (Multi-Plane Light Conversion), TILBA<strong>\u00ae<\/strong>-ATMO permet de coupler un signal issu d\u2019une fibre multi mode vers une fibre monomode, vecteur standard des communications optiques.<br>La travers\u00e9 de l\u2019atmosph\u00e8re introduit sur le front d\u2019onde optique des perturbations impactant la collection et le couplage du faisceau lumineux dans un d\u00e9tecteur. TILBA<strong>\u00ae<\/strong>-ATMO r\u00e9sout ce probl\u00e8me d\u2019une part en d\u00e9composant le faisceau lumineux re\u00e7u en un nombre limit\u00e9 de modes spatiaux gr\u00e2ce au d\u00e9multiplexeur spatial MPLC, puis en les recombinant de mani\u00e8re coh\u00e9rente, dans une fibre monomode, au travers d\u2019une puce photonique int\u00e9gr\u00e9e. On obtient ainsi un signal optique fiable en sortie.<br>Gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 cette fonction comparable \u00e0 celle mise en \u0153uvre avec de l\u2019optique adaptative, mais impl\u00e9ment\u00e9e dans un composant m\u00e9caniquement passif, TILBA<strong>\u00ae<\/strong>-ATMO rend la compensation de la turbulence plus accessible, abordable et robuste qu\u2019avec les approches turbulences atmosph\u00e9riques subies. Elle permet des communications optiques hauts d\u00e9bits fiabilis\u00e9es en vue d\u2019une travers\u00e9e de couches atmosph\u00e9riques pour des liaisons vers l\u2019espace aussi bien qu\u2019en point \u00e0 point terrestres, a\u00e9riennes ou maritimes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La diversit\u00e9 spatiale consiste en l\u2019\u00e9mission simultan\u00e9e de signaux incoh\u00e9rents et ind\u00e9pendants afin de minimiser la probabilit\u00e9 de perturbation du signal transmis lors de la propagation. Ainsi, la liaison \u00e9mise est plus r\u00e9sistante aux turbulences car v\u00e9hicul\u00e9e au travers de plusieurs canaux non corr\u00e9l\u00e9s. La diversit\u00e9 spatiale impl\u00e9ment\u00e9e dans TILBA<strong>\u00ae<\/strong>-IBC correspond \u00e0 une combinaison incoh\u00e9rente de modes spatiaux similairement \u00e0 l\u2019usage d&rsquo;\u00e9metteurs multiples, mais de fa\u00e7on simplifi\u00e9e. Les modes spatiaux sont ici g\u00e9n\u00e9r\u00e9s avec la technologie MPLC et sont transmis non corr\u00e9l\u00e9s unitairement. TILBA<strong>\u00ae<\/strong>-IBC est mis en \u0153uvre dans les stations-sol optiques TILBA\u00ae-OGS pour l\u2019\u00e9mission des donn\u00e9es satellitaires, ainsi que dans les terminaux TILBA<strong>\u00ae<\/strong>-LOS pour am\u00e9liorer les liaisons point \u00e0 point en situation de fortes turbulences atmosph\u00e9riques. Elle est particuli\u00e8rement utile pour les liaisons optiques montantes (optical feeder links) tr\u00e8s haut d\u00e9bit du sol vers un satellite.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>TILBA<strong>\u00ae<\/strong>-CBC combine de mani\u00e8re coh\u00e9rente plusieurs sources laser afin d\u2019augmenter significativement la puissance globale du signal \u00e9mis, l\u00e0 o\u00f9 les sources t\u00e9l\u00e9coms sont aujourd\u2019hui limit\u00e9es \u00e0 environ 50W. En combinant 6 entr\u00e9es de relativement faibles puissances de mani\u00e8re optimale gr\u00e2ce au MPLC, TILBA<strong>\u00ae<\/strong>-CBC permet d\u2019obtenir un faisceau laser t\u00e9l\u00e9com de tr\u00e8s grande qualit\u00e9 avec une efficacit\u00e9 sup\u00e9rieure \u00e0 80% et une puissance de sortie de l\u2019ordre de 100W.
