Leur essor vient de leur structure particuli\u00e8re. En effet, une onde \u00e0 OAM poss\u00e8de une grandeur suppl\u00e9mentaire, le moment orbital angulaire repr\u00e9sent\u00e9 sous forme d\u2019h\u00e9lice dont le nombre est th\u00e9oriquement infini. Cette composante quantifi\u00e9e peut \u00eatre utilis\u00e9e pour le codage d\u2019information en consid\u00e9rant chaque valeur du nombre d\u2019h\u00e9lice comme un bit d\u2019information. Cela repr\u00e9sente donc potentiellement un nombre de canaux de transmission illimit\u00e9.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ces derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es, de nombreux d\u00e9veloppements sont en cours dans le but d\u2019\u00e9changer de l\u2019information en g\u00e9n\u00e9rant ces ondes dites \u00ab ondes twist\u00e9es ou faisceau vortex \u00bb \u00e0 OAM en espace libre dans l\u2019atmosph\u00e8re ou dans des fibres optiques. Les ondes \u00e0 OAM pourraient constituer une grandeur suppl\u00e9mentaire pour transporter, de mani\u00e8re significative, davantage d\u2019informations dans les r\u00e9seaux de t\u00e9l\u00e9communications fibr\u00e9s futurs. Ses adeptes lui conf\u00e8rent \u00e9galement une plus grande r\u00e9sistance aux turbulences atmosph\u00e9riques.<sup>[1]<\/sup><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">En permettant de g\u00e9n\u00e9rer facilement des modes OAM, Cailabs a pu participer \u00e0 plusieurs travaux avec notamment l\u2019University of Southern California pour appliquer les techniques OAM \u00e0 des liaisons de communication optiques longues distances en espace libre<sup>[2]<\/sup>&nbsp;ou pour utiliser les OAM comme une m\u00e9thode d\u2019\u00e9change d\u2019information s\u00e9curis\u00e9e via l\u2019\u00e9change d\u2019une cl\u00e9 optique de cryptage quantique<sup>[3]<\/sup>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>OAM et PROTEUS<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A l\u2019aide de sa&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cailabs.com\/fr\/reseaux-fibres\/reseaux-du-futur\/proteus\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">solution PROTEUS<\/a>, Cailabs esp\u00e8re pouvoir contribuer aux nombreuses avanc\u00e9es potentielles dans ce domaine. Le c\u0153ur de PROTEUS repose sur un composant passif unique de multiplexage spatial b\u00e9n\u00e9ficiant de la&nbsp;technologie Multi-Plane Light (MPLC)&nbsp;brevet\u00e9e par Cailabs. Le MPLC permet de g\u00e9n\u00e9rer n\u2019importe quel type de mode OAM pour tout type d\u2019entr\u00e9e et de sortie (espace libre ou fibr\u00e9).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Compatible avec les fortes puissances, PROTEUS garantit des modes d\u2019une grande puret\u00e9, des faibles pertes optiques et une compatibilit\u00e9 avec une large gamme de longueur d\u2019onde.
