R\u00e9cemment, une \u00e9quipe de l\u2019universit\u00e9 de Southern California (USC) a publi\u00e9 un article sur le sujet que je souhaite partager avec vous.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Yahoo, Uber ou Friendsfinder, ces entreprises ont fait la premi\u00e8re page des journaux pour des fuites massives de donn\u00e9es personnelles dont elles ont \u00e9t\u00e9 victimes. Pourtant ce ne sont pas les seules. Pratiquement pas une semaine ne passe sans que des attaques informatiques ne visent des entreprises ou des particuliers. M\u00eame les Etats et les organismes gouvernementaux n\u2019\u00e9chappent pas \u00e0 la r\u00e8gle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La r\u00e9v\u00e9lation d\u2019\u00e9coutes des gouvernements europ\u00e9ens par la NSA a bien pouss\u00e9 ceux-ci \u00e0 renforcer les protections, mais la r\u00e9cente infiltration du r\u00e9seau diplomatique europ\u00e9en, hyper strat\u00e9gique, prouve l\u2019existence de failles et la n\u00e9cessit\u00e9 d\u2019accro\u00eetre les s\u00e9curit\u00e9s informatiques<sup>(1)<\/sup>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Parmi les causes de piratages informatiques, les erreurs humaines et syst\u00e8me (Glitch) repr\u00e9sentent environ 50 % des sources de failles et sont \u00e9vitables. Mais les 50 % restants sont le fruit d\u2019attaques et d\u2019\u00e9coutes organis\u00e9es<sup>(<\/sup><sup>2<\/sup><sup>)<\/sup>, dont internet et les r\u00e9seaux de communications sont les premi\u00e8res cibles, et dont les cons\u00e9quences \u00e9conomiques sont dramatiques<sup>(<\/sup><sup>3<\/sup><sup>)<\/sup>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pour r\u00e9pondre \u00e0 cette probl\u00e9matique, une des multiples solutions est d\u2019augmenter la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 des \u00e9changes informatiques de mani\u00e8re tr\u00e8s significative.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En ce sens, les communications quantiques sont pressenties comme une m\u00e9thode d\u2019\u00e9change d\u2019information extr\u00eamement s\u00e9curis\u00e9e, voire pratiquement inviolable. Parmi les candidats potentiels, les Moments Angulaires Orbitaux (ou OAM pour Angular Orbital Momentum) poss\u00e8dent de nombreux atouts.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Des modes spatiaux, ou formes de lumi\u00e8re, peuvent poss\u00e9der un front d\u2019onde dit elliptique qui poss\u00e8de un moment orbital angulaire<sup>(4<\/sup><sup>)<\/sup>. Comme pour les p\u00e2tes torsad\u00e9es, la phase se propage en faisant des tours en forme d\u2019h\u00e9lice. Le moment angulaire, donn\u00e9 par le nombre d\u2019h\u00e9lice, peut \u00eatre utilis\u00e9 comme cl\u00e9 d\u2019\u00e9change, par exemple dans les communications quantiques<sup>(5<\/sup><sup>)<\/sup>, sans limitation du nombre d\u2019\u00e9tats.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>L\u2019\u00e9quipe d\u2019Alan Willner de l\u2019universit\u00e9 de Southern California (USC) est sp\u00e9cialis\u00e9e (entre autres choses) dans les techniques de communications quantiques en espace libre. Je tiens ici \u00e0 pr\u00e9senter leur dernier article&nbsp;<sup>(6)<\/sup>&nbsp;dans lequel ils utilisent comme cl\u00e9 quantique des OAM g\u00e9n\u00e9r\u00e9s par des multiplexeurs Cailabs sp\u00e9cialement con\u00e7us pour ce type de transformation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A l\u2019aide d\u2019un syst\u00e8me d\u2019optique adaptative utilis\u00e9 \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9mission et \u00e0 la r\u00e9ception, les chercheurs californiens sont ainsi parvenus \u00e0 r\u00e9aliser une communication quantique bidirectionnelle de 10Mb\/s par canal et ce, au travers de turbulence atmosph\u00e9rique.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Si ce r\u00e9sultat est encore loin de l\u2019\u00e9tat de l\u2019art en termes de communication fibr\u00e9e ou sans fil, il montre que les communications quantiques sont d\u00e9sormais pratiquement \u00e0 port\u00e9e de main.
