Cailabs has been internationally focused since its inception. The first invoice issued was for a company in the United States, while the major part of the sales figure has always come from abroad - starting in the first financial year of the company.
Indeed, Cailabs’ customers are spread all over the world. From Japanese operators KDDI and NTT, who are at the cutting edge of transmission over fiber optics, through to German partners in additive manufacturing and laser cutting, Cailabs is in contact with the enterprises that need innovative light shaping solutions.
A presence at the major events of the profession
Meetings take place at the main global optical and photonics trade fairs and exhibitions: Laser World of Photonics in Munich, Photonics West in San Francisco, Optical Fiber Communication Conference on the West Coast of the USA, European Conference on optical Communication in Europe; Cailabs has been present at all these events since 2014.
A strategy focused on export
Fully in line with its internationalization strategy, Cailabs was selected in 2017 by Impact USA, an acceleration program conceived by Business France and Bpifrance to help selected start-ups to develop in the American market.
“The United States is a key market for us and we are now ready to invest and ramp up our development in this market. We are already recognized by the major international telecommunications players such as Huawei, IBM, Nokia and KDDI but now we want to grow our internationalization.” , stated Jean-François Morizur, CEO of Cailabs.
This focus on developing foreign markets was also recognized in 2017 by the award of the EY Born Global prize for the South West France region.
